The George Mason University, School of Management has an immediate opportunity for a Term Faculty appointment for a qualified individual to teach Accounting starting August 2012.
The initial appointment will be for one academic year, with a potential opportunity for renewal. Fall semester classes begin August 27, 2012. Major responsibilities of the position include teaching various accounting courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs, and service to the Accounting Area, school and university.
The successful candidate will have an MBA or M.S. in accounting, or equivalent, along with a desired professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CISA) and significant teaching experience. A Ph.D. is highly desirable. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Located in Fairfax, Va., just outside Washington D.C., the School of Management and Accounting Program are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB-International). The School of Management offers undergraduate degrees in business; MBA and EMBA; and M.S. degrees in accounting, technology management, real estate development, and management of secure information systems.
