Science took center stage at the Early Childhood Center during the annual Spring Family Fun Night. More than 130 people attended the event.
Early Childhood teachers, therapists, and parent educator had science activities focusing on educational concepts that are appropriate for preschool students. Students got a chance to plant flowers, experiment with ice, mix paints, and participate in other activities. There was also a listening lab of outdoor sounds.
In addition, Missouri State University early childhood education students had a table with information about proper nutrition. Each activity station had instructional handouts with the educational concept targeted, and activity ideas for parents to do at home with their child.
