Will cold weather be a factor at WrestleMania?

Tonight?s WrestleMania is not only a homecoming for sports-entertainment?s biggest event of the year, but it also marks the first time The Show of Shows goes down in an open-air stadium located in the Northeast.

For Superstars, Divas and members of the WWE Universe in attendance alike, WrestleMania holds the guarantee of hot action and the potential for chilly temperatures. According to weather.com, the forecast for East Rutherford, N.J., tonight has temperatures ranging between 48 degrees Fahrenheit and 56 degrees Fahrenheit. The afternoon and evening will be partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of precipitation and winds between 15 mph and 25 mph.

Although the worst-case scenario of Superstars locking horns in a foot of snow appears wholly unlikely at this point, at least one competitor aiming for championship gold tonight expressed disappointment over the relatively mild forecast.

?I want snow,? said The Miz, who will challenge for Wade Barrett?s Intercontinental Championship on the Live Interactive Pre-Show, which begins at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.

?I want snowmen built in the ring. I want a snowball fight,? The Awesome One exclaimed before admitting, ?but I don?t think we?re going to get it.?

It is nonetheless recommended that fans prepare for the cool temps by dressing in layers. If you get to MetLife Stadium and realize you?re light on gear, don?t fear: The?WrestleMania 29 Superstore has you covered. WrestleMania apparel including fleece blankets, gloves and sweatshirts will be available. Free Wi-Fi service is also available at MetLife Stadium, so you?ll be able to check weather forecasts in between?tweeting and?Touting your WrestleMania experiences throughout the night.

Still trepidatious? Don?t be. If baseball enthusiasts can weather a few hours of chilly weather in parks such as Yankee Stadium and Citi Field, can?t WWE fans do the same for The Grandest Stage of Them All?
