Little girls love princesses, that's a fact. They have their favorite female characters from movies and toys and love dressing up to pretend to be a princess themselves. With that being said, then it is no surprise that many little girls, even as young as toddlers, want a princess theme birthday party. They, along with their guest will have a real 'ball' indeed at a delightful party featuring their favorite characters.
The first step when planning any child's birthday party is preparation and organization. Deciding on the theme makes selecting the supplies and accessories much easier. Take a few minutes to sit down and write out a list with notes and ideas about the kind of party supplies that will go well in a princess theme birthday party. Making this list before buying anything will help keep you organized and prevent wasted spending.
Decorations should certainly include a lot of princess-like colors such as pink and purple along with other pastel colors. You will need table cloths and coordinating paper goods like plates, napkins and cups. Be sure to rent or buy a helium tank to fill lots of pretty balloons to fill the party area. You can even set an elegant table for all of the little princesses who will be in attendance.
What little girl does not love to dress up like a princess? None that I know, that's for sure. Have your party guests dress up like little princesses and come prepared to be treated like royalty at the party. Be sure to include this detail in the birthday party invitations. You can also make or buy simple tu tu type skirts that each little girl receives to wear at the party and then take home. Party supply stores have adorable tiaras that each girl can wear. Make sure that the birthday girl's crown is extra special as it is her day.
Food at a royal birthday party should be fun finger foods that the girls can easily eat. Make tasty sandwiches cut into shapes of stars, hearts or crowns with cookie cutters. Serve the little dolls pink lemonade from clear plastic cups or even little tea cups. The birthday cake can be as fancy as you can afford to either make or hire made for you. Many cake ideas include castles and horses or perhaps characters from Disney movies etc.
Your darling daughter will have a wonderful princess theme birthday party if you remember to plan properly and get input from your child. A well planned event will keep the stress level down and allow you to enjoy the day as much as your little princess surely will.
